Laser Therapy

  • by
Spike

Laser therapy is a non-invasive and effective way of using specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to stimulate therapeutic effects such as more rapid healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling.

Treatments are painless as laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen and nutrients to the damaged tissue. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness and pain.

During laser therapy the infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level, and metabolic activity increases within the cell, improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane. This initiates the increased production of cellular energy (ATP) that leads to a cascade of beneficial effects, increasing cellular function and health.

Laser therapy can help with the following:

  • Osteoarthritis, disc disease, joint pain
  • Edema and congestion
  • Muscle, tendon and ligament injuries
  • Post-surgical pain and inflammation
  • Neck and back pain
  • Burns
  • Chronic wounds
  • Rehabilitation
  • Post-orthopedic surgery recovery
