Shelby is originally from Eastern Pennsylvania and graduated from Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh in 2019. She first joined CHAI in 2021 but left briefly to learn more about Emergency Medicine and Dermatology at specialty clinics. She returned to CHAI 2024 because she missed the culture and brought with her knowledge and training from her time away.
At home, Shelby’s precious toddler rules her life along with her 2 dogs (Oakly – the problem child & Molly – the wild child), 4 cats (Jetts – the diva, Raptor – the silly boy, Coconut – the mystery cat, & Agatha – the outdoor cat that never left) , and off-the-track thoroughbred (Yoshi – the feral boy). She enjoys spending time at the barn with Yoshi and competing by showing him in competitions.
She chose CHAI because she sees it as more than just a clinic or workplace. She values the culture and loves that everyone that works here cares about patient care so much and loves being a part of such an amazing team.
