Kristen gained her Bachelors of Animal Science Degree in 2016 from Berry College and has worked professionally with animals since, continuing her education on and gaining licensure as a Veterinary Medical Technician in 2024. She has experience in both large and small animal veterinary medicine and is continuing her education at CHI University by completing her certification in Food Therapy this summer.
Since beginning her career at CHAI, Kristen has developed an interest in proper pet nutrition and alternative veterinary medicine and has become an integral part of our alternative treatment team working closely with Dr. Smith.
Kristen brings her experience and knowledge to her role on our surgery team. Working with Dr. Katie to provide the safest and most up-to-date techniques for our surgery patients.
Kristen has a passion for all animals but this is especially true of horses and cats. She has 6 cats of her own who were all rescues, some with permanent injuries and ongoing disabilities which, along with her love and care, never stops them from living their best lives.
